Coronavirus Update June 3, 2020 - NEW
School Superintendent David Sovine has distributed a letter to parents that includes information on the planning underway to reopen schools in August.

Parents, students in grades 6-12 and FCPS teachers are being asked to complete a survey about the distance learning that was offered after schools were closed due to the pandemic as well as the overall purpose and value of education. The survey will close on June 8.

Summer Office Hours

Beginning June 8, our office hours will be Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The offices will be closed on Friday.

Technical Triage Center

The FCPS Information Technology Department will be operating a Technical Triage Center for students, parents and staff until further notice. The center can help with broken Chromebooks and laptops, locked user accounts and forgotten passwords as well as lost chargers and other equipment.

Grab-n-Go Meals Update
06/02/2020
The Grab-n-Go Meals program is being offered through June 30 with a few changes to the menu and schedule. Starting on June 8, any school-aged child can receive a free breakfast and lunch on Monday through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at James Wood, Millbrook or Sherando high schools. In addition, the meals will be available on Monday through Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at several satellite locations throughout Frederick County.

Kindergarten Registration for 2020-21

Graduation Ceremonies to Be Held Virtually Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Graduation ceremonies at James Wood, Millbrook and Sherando high schools will be held virtually this year. The three high schools are also looking at additional opportunities to recognize graduating seniors, including the possibility of having students receive their diplomas at their school during a controlled event at which social distancing and other recommended safety actions are practiced.
