ABMS Electives for MSVA Students
11/13/2020
Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle school will be offering in-person elective opportunities for our students who are attending the Middle School Virtual Academy this year. Starting on Dec. 2, 2020, ABMS will provide a two hour elective camp from 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons. Students will be able to choose from offerings in PE, Tech Ed. Agriculture, Art, Band and Chorus.

Meeting Notice
School Board Meeting to Stream Live
11/24/2020
On Tuesday, December 1, the Frederick County School Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. (Closed Session) / 7:00 p.m. (Public Session) at the FCPS Administration Building. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Frederick County Public Schools' commitment to adhering to current public health and safety recommendations such as the 25 person limit for in-person gatherings, a limited number of citizens will be able to attend the meeting in person. Those who want to attend the meeting must register. The meeting will also be made accessible via a live video stream on the FCPS YouTube Channel. Citizen/staff comments will be provided to School Board members at the meeting. The deadline to submit comments is Tuesday, December 1 at 3:00 p.m.

On-Time Graduation Rate
10/01/2020
Frederick County Public Schools’ on-time graduation rate for the Class of 2020 was 93 percent compared to Virginia’s rate of 92.3 percent. In addition to exceeding the state’s on-time graduation rate, the school division’s 4.3 percent dropout rate for the Class of 2020 was lower than the state’s rate of 5.1 percent.
